AEA Limited (Avery East Africa) has been supplying and installing weighbridges and truck scales in Kenya for decades. KiloSahihi is the software side of the same team: the engineers who pour the foundation, set the load cells and calibrate the bridge also commission the software, so one call covers the whole bridge.
How an installation runs
The same sequence for a new bridge, a replacement deck or a relocation.
Traffic, the longest and heaviest vehicles, approach lengths, drainage and power. This decides the deck length, capacity, and whether a pit or pitless bridge suits the site.
Foundation drawings are issued for the chosen bridge. Our team supervises the pour, or does the civils, so the pads are level and the approaches are long enough for a truck to sit flat on the deck.
The deck modules are set on the load cells, the junction box is wired and sealed, and the bridge is levelled and checked for free movement before anything is weighed.
The weighing indicator, printer and PC go in the weighbridge office, with the cable run in conduit and surge protection where the site needs it.
The bridge is calibrated with certified test weights across its range, corner-tested, and prepared for stamping by the Weights and Measures department so tickets are legally valid for trade.
KiloSahihi is installed on the office PC, reads the indicator, and the operators are trained on weigh-in, weigh-out, tickets and reports. The first real ticket prints before we leave.
On site

Each load cell cable is terminated and sealed in the junction box before the deck goes on. This is where most later weighing faults start, so it is done once and done properly.
What we supply and do
Economy analog, digital and premium Avery Weigh-Tronix bridges, single deck, multi-deck and axle, 9 to 24 metres and 30 to 150 tonnes.
Analog and digital load cells, junction boxes and indicators from Avery Weigh-Tronix, Keli and XK3190, supplied through KiloShop.
Foundation design, supervision or full civils, approach ramps, drainage and the weighbridge office.
Calibration with certified test weights, corner and linearity tests, and preparation for Weights and Measures verification.
Drifting weights, dead corners and lightning damage diagnosed on site, load cells and cables replaced, the bridge recalibrated.
Decks moved to a new site, analog bridges upgraded to digital, old indicators replaced so the bridge can run KiloSahihi.
KiloSahihi installed and connected to the indicator, tickets designed, ERP posting and cameras switched on as needed.
ANPR cameras, overview cameras, boom barriers, traffic lights and driver kiosks for partially or fully unmanned bridges.
Scheduled calibration checks and preventive maintenance so the bridge stays accurate and legally stamped.
Your existing bridge
A weighbridge that reads differently at each corner, drifts through the day or disagrees with the buyer's bridge usually has a load cell, cable or junction box problem, not a deck problem. We test on site, replace what has failed and recalibrate, and the bridge is back in service the same day in most cases.
Older analog bridges with a working deck are upgraded rather than replaced: new load cells and a modern indicator, and the bridge runs KiloSahihi with cameras and ERP posting like a new one, at a fraction of the cost.
Where we work
Installations are done by our own engineers from Nairobi, with sites across Kenya and in Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo: cement plants, breweries, fuel depots, quarries, grain and feed mills, tea and coffee factories, packhouses and cooperative collection centres. Support after installation is a phone call or a WhatsApp message away in English or Kiswahili.
