Not every weighing is one truck on one deck. Axle bridges weigh a vehicle in groups and must check each group and the gross against the legal limit. Multi-deck bridges sum several decks and must know which decks a truck is on. Rail bridges weigh wagons with a number instead of a plate. KiloSahihi handles each of them from the same station, on Windows, in the browser and on a phone.
Axle weighing
The sequence the software runs on a single-axle or axle-group bridge.
The plate is read by ANPR or RFID, or typed, and the vehicle's axle configuration is picked from its record: the EAC classes for rigid trucks, semi-trailers and drawbar combinations.
Position sensors at each end of the deck confirm the axle or axle group is fully on the platform before a reading is accepted. A wheel on the approach is a rejected reading, not a light one.
The stable weight is locked for the group, the driver moves forward on the traffic light, and the next group is captured. The software counts groups against the configuration.
Each axle group is checked against its limit and the gross against the vehicle's permissible gross mass. An overload is flagged on screen and on the ticket before the truck leaves.
The ticket lists every axle group, the gross, the net where a tare is on record, and the overload status, with a photo of the truck where cameras are fitted.
The weighing posts to the ERP or the transport system like any other, with the axle detail kept for the record.
Bridges and stations
Two, three or four decks read as one bridge, summed for the total and stored per deck, with the deck pattern telling the operator where the truck sits.
Two bridges as one lane: weigh in on one and out on the other, or a long combination across both.
Single-axle pads and axle-group decks, static weighing in sequence, with EAC configurations and limits and an overload flag on the ticket.
Loop, beam or laser sensors at the deck ends confirm the vehicle is fully on before a weight is accepted, so a half-on truck cannot be weighed light.
Gross and axle-group limits per configuration, checked before dispatch, so trucks are corrected at the site rather than fined on the road.
Wagons weighed one at a time with the wagon number and consignment, coupled trains weighed wagon by wagon where the bridge supports it, and totals per rake.
The bridge station runs on Windows; supervisors watch and approve in the browser; clerks and drivers use the phone app. One record whichever screen it came from.
Overview and ANPR cameras record each axle pass and each wagon, so the picture matches the weight.
Every station keeps its own database and syncs later. Axle detail and photos are never lost to a dropped link.
Rail
Rail weighbridges serve cement plants, grain terminals, fuel depots and ports that receive or dispatch by wagon. Each wagon is identified by its number, tied to a consignment and a customer, and weighed loaded and empty like a truck, with the rake total reconciled against the rail operator's document. Static bridges weigh uncoupled wagons one at a time; where the bridge is built for it, coupled wagons are weighed in sequence as the train creeps across. The station, the tickets, the ERP posting and the audit trail are the same as on the road bridge.
