Every bin, silo and tank on the plant, live, to the kilo.

Load cells under the bin, an indicator on the wall, a gateway at the plant: KiloSahihi turns them into live stock. Fill level and kilograms per bin, by mark and grade, fills and dispensed weights as they happen, and a stock take that reconciles against what the scales saw.

How it works

From the load cell to the dashboard.

Nothing is typed. The weight on the bin is the weight in the system.

  1. 1

    Load cells under the bin

Each bin, silo or tank sits on load cells feeding a weighing indicator. Existing indicators are read over serial or network; bins without weighing get load cells and an indicator fitted.

  2. 2

    Gateway at the plant

A gateway PC or IoT box at the plant polls every indicator, keeps its own database, and pushes readings to the cloud. It carries on recording when the internet drops and catches up when it returns.

  3. 3

    Fills and dispensing post live

A fill from the line or a dispensed weight to a truck, a sack line or the next process step is captured as a movement, not a guess, with the time, the bin and the mark or grade.

  4. 4

    Stock at a glance

The dashboard shows fill level and kilograms per bin, total stock by grade, and which bins are filling, draining or idle. On the office wall, in the browser or on a phone.

  5. 5

    Alerts when they matter

High and low levels, a bin draining faster than the line is running, or a bin that has not moved in a shift raise an alert by SMS, email or on the dashboard.

  6. 6

    Stock take and reconciliation

A stock take records the physical figure against the live one, and the difference is a report rather than a surprise at month end.

What you get

Bin, silo and tank monitoring that works like the weighbridge.

Live weight per bin

Kilograms and fill percentage for every bin, silo and tank, read from the indicator, not estimated from a level sensor.

By mark and grade

Each bin carries what it holds: tea by mark and grade, grain by variety, oil by grade. Stock totals roll up by product.

Plant dashboard

All bins on one screen with live movement, plus per-bin history. Hosted by you or by us.

Works offline

The gateway records locally and syncs later. A day without internet is a day of complete records, not a gap.

Audit trail

Every fill, dispense, adjustment and stock take is recorded with who, when and why.

Reports and exports

Shift and daily movement, stock by grade, throughput per line, and Excel and PDF exports.

ERP integration

Stock movements post to Sage X3, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Odoo, SAP or an in-house system, so the ERP's stock is the plant's stock.

Joined to the weighbridge

A truck loaded from a bin is weighed on the bridge; the bin's dispensed weight and the bridge's net are compared, and the difference is visible on the day.

Multi-site

Several plants in one dashboard, each with its own bins, users and alerts.

Your existing bins

Built on the load cells and indicators you already have.

Most plants already weigh their bins; the readings just live on a display nobody looks at. KiloSahihi reads the indicators you have over serial or network, and where a bin has no weighing we supply load cells, a junction box and an indicator through KiloShop and fit them on site. Tanks of liquid are weighed the same way, which avoids the calibration drift of level sensors in foaming or viscous product.

The gateway is a Windows PC or an industrial IoT box at the plant. It runs the same weighing engine as the weighbridge software, so a site that already runs KiloSahihi on its bridge adds bins as a feature, not a second system.

  • Reads Avery Weigh-Tronix, Keli, XK3190 and other serial or network indicators
  • Load cells, junction boxes and indicators supplied and fitted where needed
  • Bins, silos, hoppers and tanks, from a few hundred kilos to hundreds of tonnes
  • One system across the bridge, the bins and the production line

Where it runs

Tea factories, oil plants, grain and feed mills.

The first installation put a tea factory's fifteen sorting-room bins live, forty tonnes of made tea accounted for to the kilo by mark and grade, and ended the weekly stock argument between the factory and the warehouse. The same setup runs avocado-oil storage tanks, grain and feed-mill silos and packhouse hoppers, installed and supported from Nairobi by AEA Limited (Avery East Africa) across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

  • Installed and commissioned on site
  • Support in English and Kiswahili
  • Hardware supplied through KiloShop when needed
  • Runs alongside the weighbridge and production-line software

Questions

Frequently asked

What is bin and tank weighing?
Putting a bin, silo or tank on load cells so its contents are weighed continuously, instead of estimated from a level sensor or a stock card. The weight is read by an indicator and, with KiloSahihi, sent to a dashboard that shows live stock, movements and alerts.
Is this an IoT system?
Yes, in the plain sense: the indicators on the bins are connected through a gateway at the plant to a cloud dashboard. There is no proprietary sensor network to buy; standard weighing indicators and a PC or industrial gateway are enough.
Do I need internet at the plant?
Not for recording. The gateway keeps every reading locally and syncs to the cloud when a connection is available. Alerts by SMS and email need the connection at the moment they fire.
Can it weigh liquids in tanks?
Yes. A tank on load cells is weighed exactly like a bin, which is more reliable than level sensing for oils, juices and foaming product, and needs no contact with the contents.
How does it connect to the weighbridge?
The same software runs both. A truck loaded from a bin is weighed on the bridge and the two figures are compared on the day, so loading losses are visible immediately.
Which ERPs can it post to?
Sage X3, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Odoo, SAP and in-house systems with an API. Stock movements post as they happen, the same way weighbridge tickets do.
