Construction and roads

Every delivery to site weighed, every haulage trip ticketed, every tonne reconciled.

A road project moves hundreds of thousands of tonnes of aggregate, murram, asphalt and cement through a site gate, paid per trip or per tonne to dozens of haulage subcontractors. KiloSahihi runs the site weighbridge, portable or fixed, weighs every truck against its order or its haulage contract, and reconciles delivered tonnes against the bill of quantities.

Site gate

A truck of aggregate at the site weighbridge.

  1. 1

    Order or haulage contract

The truck belongs to a supplier's purchase order or a subcontractor's haulage contract. Both are set up with the rate per tonne or per trip and the material.

  2. 2

    Gross weight and plate

The loaded truck is weighed in. ANPR reads the plate where fitted; otherwise the operator picks the truck from the contractor's fleet list.

  3. 3

    Material and destination

Material, source quarry and the section of works receiving it are recorded, so tonnes land against the right BOQ item.

  4. 4

    Tip and tare

The truck tips and returns for its tare. Trucks on repeat runs use a stored tare checked daily, so the queue keeps moving.

  5. 5

    Ticket and photo

The ticket prints with the net, the material, the contract and a photo of the load, and the driver takes a copy for the subcontractor.

  6. 6

    Reconciliation

Delivered tonnes per material, per supplier, per subcontractor and per section are reported against orders and the BOQ, and haulage statements are produced for payment.

On the project

Built for a gate that moves and a payroll of trucks.

Haulage subcontractors

Trucks registered to each subcontractor, paid per trip or per tonne, with statements per period that match the tickets.

Materials and BOQ items

Aggregate by size, murram, sand, asphalt, cement, steel and fuel, each mapped to BOQ items and sections of works.

Portable and fixed bridges

Surface-mounted portable weighbridges that move with the works, and fixed bridges at batching plants and camps, all in one system.

ANPR and cameras

Plates read at the gate and every load photographed, so a disputed trip has a picture and a time.

Audit trail

Manual entries, edits and voids logged with who and why. Ghost trips and reused tickets stop.

Reports for the engineer

Delivered quantities by material and section, daily and cumulative, in the format the resident engineer and the client's quantity surveyor need.

Multi-site

Several gates, camps and batching plants on one project, or several projects, in one dashboard.

No network needed

Site bridges run on their own database and sync over a phone hotspot when there is signal.

ERP and project systems

Deliveries and haulage post to Sage, Dynamics 365, SAP or the contractor's own cost system.

Batching plants and quarries

The same system runs the project's own quarry and plants.

Most large road projects run their own crusher, asphalt plant and concrete batching plant. Aggregate out of the crusher, bitumen and asphalt out of the plant, and concrete to the pour are weighed on the same bridges and reconciled with the same reports, so the project's material balance is one set of numbers from quarry to carriageway.

  • Crusher output weighed by size
  • Asphalt and concrete dispatch to sections of works
  • Bitumen and cement intake against supplier orders
  • One material balance across the project

Questions

Frequently asked

Can the weighbridge move with the project?
Yes. Portable surface-mounted bridges are relocated as the works advance and the software carries the records with them. Fixed bridges at the batching plant and camp run in the same system.
How are haulage subcontractors paid?
Each subcontractor's trucks are registered, each trip is ticketed with net weight and material, and a statement per period lists trips and tonnes at the contract rate. Payment is made against the statement, not against the driver's chits.
Can we report against the BOQ?
Yes. Materials are mapped to BOQ items and sections of works, and delivered quantities are reported daily and cumulatively in the format the resident engineer expects.
What stops ghost trips?
Every ticket has a scale weight, a time, a photo and, with ANPR, a plate read by a camera. Tickets cannot be reused and voids are logged, so a trip that did not cross the bridge does not get paid.
Is there internet on site?
Not needed. The bridge runs locally and syncs when a hotspot or link is available.
